Since my retirement I have been able to explore my deep-seated wish to be an artist.

Although originally Canadian, and familiar with the wide-open landscapes and skies of that country, I have since become immersed in the Irish and British landscapes, which, in contrast, create overcast, atmospheric and ever-changing landscape visions. Comments about my work often focus on how I reproduce light, sky and clouds. If I had to choose my greatest inspiration it would be the work of the great British artist J.M.W. Turner with his ability to render light and shadow in his great paintings.

You will see in the examples of my work below, that my style of painting concentrates on landscapes, ranging from photorealism to impressionistic and more abstract interpretations.
